This year we have learned that in an elaborate conspiracy, BYU employed Remington Peck to ignite rumors of Chuckie redshirting. Obviously, this means that BYU started the rumor in order to force the dairy yewts to reveal Chuckie's status for the game. There's no other explanation for what Peck said. This was clearly an thought-out plan hatched by BYU to gain a competitive advantage over the powerful dairy yewts.
