As many (some?) of you already know, Bam Bam is married to my younger sister. Because of the geographical distance between our families, we never really developed much of a relationship until he reached out when our daughter was in the hospital fighting cancer. Something about our situation touched him deeply and we've had a distant bond and mutual respect ever since then. For Christmas that first year after her hospitalization he got her a Sports Illustrated autographed by Lance Armstrong (please save your anti-Lance criticism) with a personal message from Lance about fighting cancer.

Since Clara passed away he has wanted to do something for our family, but didn't know what/how to do it.

He sent this text last night:
"Hey family in law! So we are going to have some fun. I finalized everything today and have a few fun surprises for you all. Should be a weekend to remember. It all starts at 2pm at the student athletic building with our tour guides Robbie Bosco and Chad Lewis. That's all I can tell you for now about football . Basketball is Friday at 4:30 at the Marriott center. Bring tennis shoes because we will be shooting some hoops. On game day I have arranged for all of us to be on the field for pre game warm ups, the national anthem, prayer and the best part, watching the team run out of the tunnel. It's the Royal blue game so get some Royal blue to wear. Also I have tickets for everyone. You have my six season seats. They are awesome!!! Can't wait to see everyone."

Since I graduated from BYU, I've been to 3 games - at Notre Dame when I was a student there, at UW in 2008 and vs Wyoming in 2010. We are beyond excited to be back in Provo for the game and the festivities.
