My friend manages an office in California and has been bugging me for the last two years to work with him. He last talked to me about it in March. He said that for any rep who has something like 50 installs before the end of this summer, they'll qualify for some large pool of money that will be available to these reps after their IPO. "You can easily make over $200,000 from the IPO," he said. I spent seven years selling alarms, so I'm familiar with these amazingly awesome promises.
Today I read that they announced their IPO opening at $16. I text my buddy. Turns out he is allowed to only purchase up to 150 shares at $16/share. That's it. Mathematics tells me that for him to make $200,000 from this, the price would have to exceed $1,333/share. Glad I didn't move to San Bernadino for 150 shares.
