I have a rear brake light on my Camry that is seated poorly (one side of the socket is flush with the panel and the other side is tilted away from the panel about eighth of an inch) and as such it is stuck. I cannot turn it with my fingers enough to align it such that I can pull the socket and remove the bulb. If I use pliers to get a better handle on the socket while twisting, am I running the risk of breaking the socket itself (I don't care if the bulb is broken - that is an easy fix)? Is there an alternate method to removing the stuck socket, so I can replace the bulb.
