Available (I think) on both Netflix and Amazon, and also on the BBC Roku app. Two seasons so far (in addition to the pilot, make sure to start with that).
"Inspector Morse" was a long running British mystery show about a middle-aged homicide inspector in Oxford - the "Endeavor" prequel series is set in the '60s and goes back to Morse's days as a young Oxford-dropout-turned-constable working alongside his mentor, a senior homicide inspector. One of the early episodes is a bit implausible in terms of whether a policeman could actually solve the case from the obscure clues that are provided, but most of the episodes are very entertaining and his character is well developed and intriguing. The actor portraying Morse is very good.
I love British shows and this one may be most interesting to those who like police dramas (or Anglophiles in general) but I think this one has a pretty broad appeal.
