It's true. When we moved to SoCal in the 80's, the pollution would make me cry.
Not because I was sad, but from my eyes being irritated. Stage 2 alerts were common in the inland areas during the summer. The last Stage 2 alert was in the late 90's, IIRC.
I don't like the uber-liberalism of CA, but in that instance, it paid off. If they did some of the stuff in UT that they did in SoCal, All the mommies in their Yukons and crew cab F-350's would rise up in revolution.
