Last week we took my daughter to the MTC (our first missionary), and of course we are all blubbering like fools as we drove the 3 miles from our home in Orem. While we were waiting at a traffic light my 4 year-old son suddenly speaks up and asks: "Who drained the MTC?" We were a bit baffled by this and he repeated it three times before it dawned on us what he was asking: "Who drained the empty sea?" We all busted up laughing and my wife explained to him that it wasn't an "empty sea", but a missionary training center, a school to teach missionaries, and that there wasn't any water there. He looked confused for a minute then asked "But how do they brush their teeth if there is no water there?"
We're definitely keeping him for the comedy relief.
