Why do we tend to belittle our opponents before or after a game?
From a strategic standpoint, this is shooting yourself in the foot. We should always build up the teams we play, saying it will be a tough contest, they are a quality team, etc. If we beat them, it makes it look better because we thought they would be difficult. If we lose, we didn't lose to someone we thought would be a cupcake. Whether or not a team is any good, only bad comes of belittling them. It becomes a lose/lose situation. Win, and you were expected to (it was supposed to be easier than it was though). Lose and your team must really suck to lose to THOSE GUYS.

Now Aggie fans on the other hand, blast away. But respecting the team helps us get respect.
