One of my concerns... BYU needs creativity
Both offense and defense are pretty standard. Not a lot of tricks or fancy stuff, just relying on players to do their duty and execute. It's worked the last couple of years for Bronco's D, and a few years before that for Anae1.0's O. But having both O and D be "vanilla" at the same time isn't cutting it.

I believe Bronco, even with Howell, will figure things out as a defense. And he knows what kind of players he needs to run his D.

But Anae just isn't cutting it. We need some "sprinkles" on O to go with Bronco's vanilla D. And we have some of those sprinkles in the cupboard. Jamaal is still way underutilized in this offense. Leslie Mathews Houk and today Mahina have shown abilities to make plays. Same goes for the other guys in the backfield. Anae just doesn't use them right, doesn't give them the best chance to succeed IMO.

His playcalling, his formations and packages... He's the one that needs to be replaced. Hill covered a lot of his faults. Stewart did his best today... But the next level is out of reach right now.
