Bronco - Why I left early last night.
I don't comment much - actually never, but last night really ticked me off so writing this is my own personal therapy.

No, I'm not a fair weather fan. I have donated 10's of thousands of dollars to support BYU Football (Level 3 Legacy). I have been a season ticket holder for over a dozen years and never missed a home game sometimes at great personal sacrifice. BYU football has been my love and addiction for over three decades. I have attended in person EVERY single game this year flying across the country multiple times. I LOVE this team, so excuse me if I couldn't bear to watch this poorly coached, undisciplined group of great young men have their leaders fail them yet again due to what I believe to be miserable in-game adjustments and very poor preparation.

If you want to prove me wrong for leaving and regret that I made that decision? WIN THE DANG GAME!

I'm not calling for the coaches heads. I will support (or not) with my ticket purchases and donations and leave it to the administration to decide the direction.

However, after I average out this year's donations and ticket prices for last night, I spent over $3,000 to attend that "entertainment" event last night - and will end up spending almost $20K for this year (Next year will certainly be less). Please don't criticize me for determining that my time was not worth the garbage I saw on the field (especially defensively) last night. And no, it wasn't just the football team. If I hear Grandma Sycamore, or Maverick, or NuSkin one more time, I'll lose it.. And why can't we have decent "pump up and get the crowd into it" music between plays. "Power of Love"? "Roar" by Katy Perry? Seriously!?!? And no, as someone who travels to football games a lot (Even when they aren't BYU) This is NOT normal. Is there marketing? Yes. Is every play brought to you by "____"? No. Is there usually some tradition or chant or common music played between the plays to get the fans into it? Yes. And it's NOT teenybopper pop. (/end rant)

Suffice it to say that what I expected from Bronco was an apology. An apology for wasting my time, my money, my emotions on another experience that was not as it should have been. When you schedule games at 8:30 and then prepare and play poorly, this is what you get. Want this season in a nutshell? ANOTHER offsides on a kickoff. It didn't dramatically impact the game this time, but that's not injuries, that's not travel, that's not officiating, that's simply extremely poor discipline, coaching, and preparation. That should have been fixed after game 1. No excuses.

So please, I paid for my tickets, my time is my own. When the coaches start doing their job and putting a product worthy of my time on the field I will act accordingly. I'm even OK with losing - 50% of the teams do it every week, but show some humility and help us fans believe that you hurt as much as we do and are going to fix it. Don't show arrogance and call out the players and the fans, these players and these fans deserve more. I'm not going to try to tell you what you did wrong. I'm not the football expert, you are. You lost, so you did something wrong. Tell me what that was and how you're going to fix it. Help me believe again - don't tell me what I did wrong..

By the way - Anyone looking to buy some tickets to the Boise game? I probably have some to sell....
