needs to be a great salesman. He needs to sell recruits and assistant coaches his services. He needs to sell his players on his system. He needs to sell the fans his product. He needs to sell the media his product. He needs to sell to his players and coaches that they are talented. He needs to sell to his players and coaches that they will win. He needs to sell to his players and coaches that they are better than the other team. He needs to give his players and coaches motivation.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot more that HCs need to sell. Unfortunately Bronco is not a salesman. He's socially awkward, and that doesn't sell. Roger Reid was not a salesman. Steve Cleveland was an okay salesman. Dave Rose is an excellent salesman. LaVell was a great salesman. Urban Meyer, as much as I hate him with the intensity of 1000 burning suns, is a great salesman. Great coaches are great salesmen. We need an HC that can sell a drowning man a glass of water, and right now we don't have one.
