As we were walking back to his truck afterward (no, we didn't leave early, except that I had no interest in watching an opposing team line up in victory formation on our field), I told him that this loss was squarely on the defensive coaches. If players are missing assignments so often at this point in the season, that's a coaching issue. They've got talent on defense.

Then when we get to the truck and turn on the radio, there was Bronco saying that the poor defensive effort was due to missed assignments and not to scheme or coaching.

Something's got to change.

I'm not saying fire anyone, but that is unacceptable.
