Seems easy for him to just say "hey, sonny, let me help you out a bit. Seems
with all the injuries, etc., you aren't dealing with what we told you that you'd be dealing with. My bad. And, to show you how bad i feel about it, I'm gonna step in and mentor you VERY TIGHTLY. I'm sorry for leaving you on an island. You're in a no-win situation. Let me help".
