Really better than being in a MWC title race with BSU, USU, Nevada and CSU? Obviously not this year, we'd be out of the conference race this year but even then I like that better than what's in front of us this season... Savannah St? Middle Tenn? Even the Cal game is odd, they will be concerned with their own conference race and playing us will seem like a random distraction game.
Especially considering our Olympic sports, mainly Men's basketball is playing in the WCC to accommodate this. Is it worth it? A few extra million a year? On average as an Indy we play 3-4 P5 teams a year which is what we could still do in our out of conference games. The MWC offers better bowl situation too. I say go back to MWC and stop pretending we're bigger than we really are.
