I agree with that - actually I think part of the issue is the staff assignments
Just my $0.02

I think it is quite possible that Howell can't effectively be the coach of the entire secondary (cornerbacks and safeties) along with being the play caller. Brandon Bradley (former BYU BC) is the graduate assistant and I hope he spends most of his time with the corners, but for me, I think there might be a staff resource allocation issue by having Howell be both DC and secondary position coach.

I won't be surprised if Bronco fixes it this offseason. I'm not sure that having 2 LB coaches is the best allocation of resources honestly. Maybe Tidwell retires and KPop becomes the entire LB's coach. The only issue there would be that Poppinga is special teams coordinator as well. Personally I'd like to see special teams be handled more evenly (like maybe from Atuaia) make Poppinga the coach of all the LBs and add a cornerbacks coach who just focuses on the CB's without the burden of play calling and schemes.
