RE: Anyone who thinks Bronco is a good head coach, please explain...
#1It is his job to select coordinators, not CB. I also don't remember CB clamouring for Doman. Regardless, Hill, Doman, and Howell were/are woefully unprepared and unqualified, frankly they have sucked. That is ALL on him.
#2 Since Bronco does not have complete control over every kid he recruits, he therefore gets a pass on all recruiting failures?! That is ridiculous. It is his job to get talent here, period. The OL was horrible for years. His new OC and OL coach immediately identified it as a huge talent gap. How did. He not see the problem or correct it for years? (Wish all of us could get the 'I don't have control over other people so let me suck at my job card')
#3 Misused TO against Nevada in3rd quarter, 3rd and short for them, easily picked up, lack of timeouts significantly alter our options at end of game, onside kick and closing drive. Has happened repeatedly for years.
#4 Watching Riley against Boise was uncomfortable to watch, he literally should not have been out their for his safety, let alone he single handed.y lost us the game. How can he conceivably be viewed as our best option?
#5 54-10 was not just a bad game, they quit. That team gave up, it was an embarrassment and stain he hasn't come close to removing.
#6. Why is Utah such a bad match-up for us? Their talent? No, their head coach owns free space in Bronco's head and yearly takes him behind the woodshed and beats him like a redheaded step child. Whittlingham owns Bronco, that is the main and primary reason Utah has scrubbed us four years straight. Good BYU head coach with his record against Utah? Barf.
#7. He has on several occasions criticized the fantasy unnecessarily. How does having an antagonistic view of some of the fan base, and voicing it repeatedly, help build the program in anyway? And yes, that is part of his job.
#8 Virginia, SJSU, USUx2, Nevada, Utahx7 don't agree with you.
#9 What does Lavell or anyone else got to do with this? Don't have the time to dig up the particulars but his teams have suffered from high penalty rate recently, this year alone is embarrassingly bad for penalties.

Your definition of a good coach is different then mine, between his recruiting gaps, failure to find or develop quality assistants, failure to consistently get kids into the NFL, rivalry failures, discipline and penalty problems, poor PR, lack of big wins.... I fail to see the accomplishment you do.
