This was pretty funny dialogue I heard this weekend on NPR's Wait-Wait:
(In the conversation SHIFFRIN is an Olympic skier)
SHIFFRIN: 'Cause when I was 3 years old, I thought I was very good at skiing.
SAGAL: Really?
SHIFFRIN: (Laughter) No.
SAGAL: I thought that, too, but I was really wrong.
SHIFFRIN: Well, you're good at this. Did you think you were going to be good at this when you were 3?
SAGAL: No, when I was 3, I was pretty much going to be a skier.
SHIFFRIN: Oh, well, I'm sorry.
SAGAL: It's all right.
SHIFFRIN: Some dreams don't come true.
POUNDSTONE: Nice Olympian talk, by the way - some dreams don't come true.
SHIFFRIN: No, no. Dream big, but don't be upset if it doesn't happen.
