So train him on the job as a head coach?
That may violate some of the desires those that hate recent coordinator choices of not training on the job...
I'm not opposed to someone like that in the future - but have to sell that crowd.
And I don't think BYU fires a coach with a team mired with injuries in the middle of a year. Lets see what the next 5 games (and hopefully bowl) bring to pass and evaluate in the off season...
