He has already helped deliver them a bunch of championships and years of top tier basketball and entertainment. The fans have already gotten theirs and then some from him. And his contract with the Lakers was not unilateral -- the LAL had to sign it, too.

Kobe doesn't owe these people anything. He'll be gone soon and the Lakers will have to rebuild for a few years until they can buy some new stars. But we're sitting here acting like Kobe is the worst guy ever for putting the Lakers in a rebuilding position, which is like the second or third time it has happened in the last 40 years.

I hate Kobe because he is a rapist and a jerk and a superstar who repeatedly knocked my favorite team out of the playoffs. I don't look down on him for setting back the next phase of Laker history a couple years.
