Any more insight into the rumors from yesterday that Bronco is taking back over
responsibility for the defense?

If he does and can right the ship like he did when he fired Jamie Hill, and if the offense can continue to string together yards, drives, and points with basically the second team on the field, I'd be in favor of letting Bronco return for one more shot and at a big boy schedule in 2015. If not, I think it's probably time for BYU to start looking for a replacement for next year.

I don't think he's a bad football coach, but given the stagnation of the program, unless he can show that he still has the ability to motivate his players and put in place winning schemes and actually out-coach the guy on the other sideline, I think it's time to make a move for the good of the program.

Bottom line - Bronco is a very good defensive coach. If we're not utilizing that skill set of his, what's the point in having him as a coach? If our defense is our weakness this year, and we're not getting the best defensive coaching we have available, I think that's a major fail. I've always been a bronco supporter up until this year because of his defensive coaching strengths. I thought it was good to keep him to have that asset available to the team. IF we have an asset in the program, but we're not making it available, what's the point?
