if you are so ignorant to all that the fans contribute to your programs success in the form of travel, ticket sales, apparel sales etc...

But, you just don't let the fans know you dislike or hate them. If you even so much as hint at it in interviews or at team events, you are in fact asking for trouble.... "Biting the hand that feeds you" comes to mind.

How can any sane person who's job requires some degree of reliance on its fans for success make the mistake of doing anything but praise them?

The great coaches get this... They may be lying through their teeth but the great coaches thank the fans and praise the fans for their support.

With Bronco being the intelligent and well read person that he is, it amazes me just how NOT fan saavy Bronco is after all these years.
