...and it worked great. Which suprised me. Because I would have thought that Apple would have emphased the fact that their tech already works with the millions of NFC readers that are already out there. Instead they focused their presentation on their new Apple Pay partners (McDonalds, Macys, Subway, etc).

Their keynote gave me the impression that you had to use special Apple Pay equipment, when in reality they are already compatible with existing NFC hardware.
