theirs knew exactly where the holes in the defense would be on 3rd down. He never even looked at another wr on third down because their OC knew exactly what coverage BYU would run. Come to think of it, he did that a lot on 1st and 2nd down too.

Also, multiple times throughout this season, players are blitzing the wrong side of the ball. That never happened under Bronco. I think you are right that Howell also failed to prepare the defense. Hopefully the correct changes are made.

I think Kelly Poppinga or Paul Tidwell should have been given the defense long before Howell. Bronco loves those players and coaches that remind him of himself. Howell worked the system and got the promotion.
