How does that help the Big 12?
If they need 12 teams to get a conference game, how does BYU help if it is not a member?
The ACC already has such an agreement with ND. The Big 10 and SEC have no interest in BYU. The PAC-12 only has 3 non-conference games to give, so why tie them up with BYU? Why would they give BYU a bowl game slot?
The only conference that would do this is the AAC, and their bowls are terrible.
