Several have posted today that Rose has a great relationship with the fans
I'm just curious where that sentiment comes from, especially when compared to the "fact" that Bronco apparently hates fans.

I've heard Rose thank the fans (especially the student section) on a lot of post game radio shows with Wrubell. Otherwise, I don't see or hear about him being out and about that much. He doesn't do any live events with fans that I'm aware of. He does his foundation stuff, but Bronco has the equivalent.

On the other hand, you're constantly hearing about things Bronco does - both on his own and "forced" things because of his job. I've been to several of the coaches shows over the years. He shakes hands and talks to fans at those events. He looks them in the eye. He laughs with them. He's engaged with fans in those settings. He may not do those things if his job didn't require it, but to me it looks sincere. If he's "faking it", he's a great actor. But outside of those things, you see/hear about him doing things like taking pizza to the students waiting in line and stuff like that. Then there's firesides and Thursday's heroes and the like. This year he's doing the Bam Bams thing when last year the equivalent weekly show was shot with just him after each game.

Bronco is in public quite a bit with fans and/or doing things for fans, and has been doing it for years. Rose, at least to my knowledge, isn't out there with the fans nearly as much. It might even be accurate to say that Rose is "rarely" out with fans while Bronco is "frequently" doing events with fans.

Look, I get that some people are going to be upset about the Pharisee comment (how many years ago was that?); and others are going to be offended that he thanks the fans that stay, and he wishes everyone would. But I honestly don't get that Rose does very little with fans and is lauded for his relationship with "us", and Bronco by comparison does a lot with fans, and is accused of hating "us". Generally, when someone says nice things about you but then generally ignores you, that's not universally liked.

It's just one of the things about all the Bronco criticism that I'm truly baffled by.
