Weird. I have had co-workers accuse me of living in...
one of those "McMansions" in "The Bubble" (a nickname for the town in which we live), in a rather accusatory, derisive tone. Ya know, we really enjoy our community, very low crime, well-maintained neighborhoods (rather strong-handed HOA) whose home hold their value very well, great schools, rec centers, parks, trail system, etc. Likewise, our home meets our needs (yes, despite the small lot/yard) and I think it is actually quite well built, thank you.

So, am I supposed to be put to shame by their "accusations"? Should I be apologetic that I don't live in a crappy crime-ridden, run down neighborhood? I just don't get it....
