I just wish we had someone else calling the plays for him.
Anae 1.0 seemed to struggle with in game adjustments, and now Anae 2.0 struggles with sticking with what is already working.
In the Nevada game, the seam routes and running w/ Carter and Lasike were abandoned in the second half even though we had great success with them in the first. I can understand wanting to call different plays to keep a defense off balance, but if it's not broken don't fix it. I like an offensive strategy of continuing to call similar plays until the opposing D shows they can stop it. I hope that we can find what works against Boise early, and that Anae keeps calling those plays until Boise adjusts to them.
After that you can change your play calls, but don't be afraid to go with what has already worked.
