And I'm qualified to say that this guy could have been paid triple his rate and he would have been worth it.
That said, there are a lot of overpaid hacks in the legal profession that pretty much walk through life without contributing much of anything to their clients.
I'm not at all familiar with the O'Bannon litigation, but you can't just assume that the NCAA is getting screwed because they paid a $900 per hour rate.
