^^^ struggles with reading comprehension
"There are legitimate criticisms to be made about BYU, and definite positives to Utah's season so far, but it isn't the black and white BYU being in the sewer and Utah being at the pinnacle of success that the sky is falling crowd keeps peddling here on CB."

"Not taking away from the Ute wins, because a win is a win. Not excusing BYU losses, because you only lose because of a single play when you put yourself in the position to lose by one play.

The point of the post is to recognize that the margin is very thin, and that BYU and Utah are playing right on the edges. My reading of CB during the past week or so has been that people think that BYU is playing at the level of Idaho State right now, while Utah is playing at a Florida State level."

Just because I don't get the PAC12 network or FS2, so I haven't been able to watch all but one of the Utah games, so I can't come up with specific examples, doesn't mean that I don't have a point. I usually check out the box scores of Utah games to determine if the local radio guys are pumping up a paper tiger (they are). The raw stats show that Utah's offense is struggling really bad. Post game recaps don't often talk about the lucky bounces that led to the W (unless it's the losing team talking about the bad bounces). I've run my criticism of Utah past several die-hard Utah fans and they've admitted that Utah has benefited from it's fair share of lucky bounces over the past two games. I'll also admit, they suffered their fair share of bad bounces in their game against Washington State. Before that they played bottom of the barrel teams, so it's no surprise that their stats were significantly better and that they didn't need to rely on lucky bounces to get the W.
