RE: A little perspective. The Utes are only a couple
Utah's back-up QB has played as much as BYU's up to this point of the season.

Utah has been lucky with healthy running backs. Having Booker or Poole hurt would definitely hurt (especially Booker, who wasn't given the majority of the snaps until the WSU game).

Their starting left guard and team captain Junior Salt has missed time this year.

Nate Orchard actually has been playing the last few games dinged up.

Their starting DT, Clint Shephard has missed a few games. Luckily Lowell Lotulelei is a beast. Thank goodness Star came to Utah.

Their best LB, Gionni Paul missed the first month of the season.

Another starting LB Jason Whittingham broke his arm and has missed a few games and will be out another month.

Jacoby Hale, who was a starting LB last year has missed all year from an ACL tear in spring ball.

Our best CB, Reggie Porter tore his ACL in fall camp. Dom Hatfield had to convert from WR to CB to replace him.

Tevin Carter has missed more than two games already and we don't know when he will return. A true freshman has replaced him.

Let's not pretend that injuries haven't affected the Utes at all this year. Sure, they haven't been to the same effect as BYU's, but I don't remember any sympathy the last few years when injuries derailed Utah's seasons. The difference is that Utah is finally building some depth to replace the injured players without as much drop off as previously.
