lost games we should not have lost. We lost to Utah 3 consecutive years. In '91, even with Detmer, we lost all of the semi-interesting games and won all of the ones against garbage teams. in 92 we lost to SDSU and Hawaii and Kansas. In 93 we went a lousy 6-6 getting embarrassed by UCLA (68 points?) and losing to Utah State. '94 had a nice record, with a couple marquee wins against Notre Dame and Oklahoma. '95 sucked again (no good wins and another Utah loss).

In the 90's, the offense was no longer novel and defenses caught up. The leveling off of BYU football started in the early '90s.
