A 4 year old boy in my ward is about to lose his battle with Leukemia
Ethan Van Leuven is a young boy in my ward that turns 5 next month, if he makes it that long. Ethan has been battling Leukemia since he was 22 months old. After a little more than 3 years, Ethan's battle is just about over.

Not that it should matter, but the family are big BYU fans.

About 6 days ago, doctors informed Ethan's family that the Leukemia was out of control, and with Ethan's kidneys failing, there were no more treatment options available. Ethan has been through just about every treatment/transplant available, including experimental treatments.

For those that are in Utah you may have a seen a little bit about Ethan's story. KSL Channel 5 has been following the story all week as Ethan's family has accelerated their celebration of the holidays to make sure Ethan's last days here on this earth are as memorable as possible. Friday and Saturday, Ethan and his family will be celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

As I am sure many of you can imagine, Ethan's family has racked up a considerable amount of medical bills during this 3+ year fight. If anyone is willing and able to help out, there is an account set up in Ethan's name at Cyprus Credit Union. I am also including below links to 2 websites set up for the purpose of raising funds to help out the Van Leuven Family. Here are the 2 links;

On behalf of the Van Leuven Family, thank you for any and all help.
