It was about 1997 on the BYUBoard (I was posting under a different name) that people started the great debate about Lavell. He was mostly untouchable and it almost always devolved into a rant about Norm Chow, especially over the Shoemaker/Feterik decision. I still think we win more with Shoemaker than Feterik. I thought we would have been better off sticking with Drew Miller, too.
