I know that winning at Boise State is a tough chore but I see tonight as extremely important for this program. BYU has the talent and the ability to win tonight, they should have won the last two games, they just need to focus and stay focused the entire game. Recruiting, program image, fan interest, and future relevance are all somewhat at stake tonight. It's a tough spot to be in, but it is what it is.
My focus for the team would be on: 1. Defensive line has to win the battle of the line of scrimmage. Fire out hard and punch them in the mouth. 2. Linebackers must play fundamentally sound. When you have a chance to tackle someone-- wrap up and tackle them! (Against Nevada we had the qb sacked on a 3rd and 17, but some unknown linebacker (his initials are Manoa Pikula) decided that arms aren't useful when tackling and it changed the entire game). 3. Offense-- NO TURNOVERS. 4. Score on the first possession of the second half!
Thanks for letting me rant.
