He refers to KC's "overlooked greatness," "one of the best players in the nation,".... "WCC's best player,"..... upside or downside for BYU's team being greatly dependent on his good health, calling him a "history making talent."

Pierce is a late to the Collinsworth is a truly great player bandwagon, wrong about most things last year, but right on point in this piece-every word of it! If KC returns 100%, he won't be the last to jump on that bandwagon. His discussion about the uncertainty of KC's recovery is excellent, unpleasant as it is to consider. The entire article is superb.
In truth, there are several coaches who know Collinsworth well who talked about his greatness all last year. If he has been overlooked it has been by the media and the fans, not the experts. Last year he was the elephant in the parlor, a secret under the lights. Seems like there is a special future pro in front our eyes whom we don't fully appreciate every year in the BYU universe. Three great players whose prospects for the NBA were scoffed at: Leonard, Delavedova and now Collinsworth.
Should be more obvious this year, if, and only if, he recovers 100%.
