1. GFGH - hard on the defense. They have to spend too much time on the field.
2. Rookie DC with little experience and little respect. Hard on the defense.
3. Moving Kaufusi to OLB, a place where he should have never played. Hard on the defense.
4. Recruiting misses, especially at DL. Hard on the defense. Overcalculation on the coaches' part of how good these guys would be.
5. Lack of practice and/or in game experience for younger players. Hard on the defense. Bronco might want some of those unused practices back from before previous bowl games. Hard on the defense.
6. Independence - not much to play for once you lose. Hard on the defense. Hard on the whole team.

It seems like the players on offense are not giving up. Does that have anything to do with their coaches? Does the defensive staff respect Nick Howell?

If we don't make some serious changes, next year's schedule will make this year's schedule look like a walk in the park. Think about it.

Michigan, Nebraska, UCLA, Connecticut, Cincy, Boise State, Utah State (gag me that I even have to mention them). Who did I miss?
