Bronco has never seemed happier and more fiery to me than when he was a DC. It
makes me feel like the time I had a job I really really enjoyed......after the company was sold, I moved to a new position that was a promotion. But you know what, I didnt enjoy it nearly as much, in retrospect my heart wasn't in it to the full degree and it just felt more like a chore. Tried to put on a happy face and parts of the new job were ok. But eventually I decided to leave because overall it just seemed like a lot of drudgery and had kinda zapped my enthusiasm for alot of my life because of the pressure and drudgery that I knew was awaiting the next day.........and honestly despite what I view as my own level of integrity in trying to do the job well I must also admit that not being fully engaged wasnt ideal for the company either.

I really wonder if Bronco isn't the same way. I think he is a very, very good man. And a very, very good defensive coordinator. But also a guy who might not enjoy the hc job, is tired from all the "calling" part of the job and perhaps has lost his passion.....it sure seems like it. Loved the guy as the defensive coordinator but the strange metamorphosis into the guy who is the HC now really appears to me to be very much like my previous situation..........seeing the job you really enjoyed everyday but not really able to go back to it.

For his sake I almost help he goes somewhere else and can re-capture his fire, most likely in my mind as DC because I do have a LOT of respect for him and believe he could be superb if allowed to focus on what I believe he loves. For BYUs sake I hope they can find somebody who really enjoys being HC and brings some fire.
