It also seems like a really stupid idea when you are nursing
a 14 point lead in the second half. Maybe...just maybe....you say..."you know...we have the lead and our defense is suspect...perhaps we should just play ball control and eat clock...extend drives, run the clock down..."
Even a three and out will eat almost 2 minutes...instead...a gfgh three and out and takes 20 seconds and puts our bad defense back on the field.
