rumor out there about him - it's persisted for a year and leads some to say that "he's not BYU material" because of the rumor - what would you do? Leave it up to your high son try to set the record straight? Go to bat for your son? Let your son decided what to do? Not council your son on the issue and leave him to figure out the next move? Council him to stay quite and keep quite yourself? Council him to go public with a rebuttal?

I'm not sure his dad is right or wrong here - opinions?
