a conference is hurting us.

Our slide as a program has come right around the same time as our move into independence. I'd hate to go back to the MWC, but I do think we would play better if we were in a conference, even if it were the MWC. I just don't think the team has much to play for once we lose a game or two in independence. I definitely enjoyed being in a conference as a fan.

There are advantages to being Indy for now, but there are disadvantages too.

I'd prefer to be in the PAC-12 or the Big 12, but if an offer doesn't come in the next few years, we may not have much of a choice. It's good to have options and I definitely would hate to go back to the MWC but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibilities in the future, even if we don't like it.

And to the idiot Aggie fans who think they wouldn't take us, let me take a moment to laugh at you. They'd gladly kick USU out of the conference to get us back if they had to.
