I actually think the vast majority of our fans agree with you. I am sure that there are some myopic nut jobs in our fan base as anybody has, but everybody that I know is excited that we have a good chance of going to a bowl. Honestly, that's about it right now.

Most are looking at 6-6 as very realistic, 7-5 would be really good, 8-4 would be great, 9-3 AMAZING (best Oprah impression), 10-2 might require a medically induced into a coma to calm us down and 11-1.... are you freaking kidding me??????

That's where everybody that I talk to is right now. Why? Because we've never had a winning record in the Pac 12 and our self-percieved supremacy was brought back to reality in spectacular fashion.

Of course, we're fans, and always think we could do better, but we've just seen reality too many times to get cocky.

That said, I am absolutely LOVING this team. Could we be better? Obviously, our QBs and receivers need to produce at a much higher level, but as you said, Booker and the Defense are unreal, and our special teams might be the best in the country. Is that enough to win the conference? No, we need better QB and receiver production.

All of this said, what most of us are happy about is that our players are playing as though they belong in the conference and that's a big step. My hat is off to Whitt.
