* Article below says they launched to 67M homes but it is unclear if that is actual subscribers or just how many it is available to become a subscriber - as I didn't have to request it where I live (Illinois) it is very possible to be 67M homes - on the other hand the P12NW claimed launch was available to 60M homes but so far only actually have 11M subscribers...

Since ESPN Network in their contract seemingly allows for ESPN3 only as well as ESPNews I'm not sure I'd jump at that. The only benefit is due to conference games you'd have to do less negotiating TV in 4 more games a year if you were in a conference. But those games possibly being relegated regularly to CBSSN or ESPN3/News would not be exciting for me....however it is still light years beyond the days of the mtn...
