"OK, so he’s a good teammate and a smart kid. but can he play?"
Among the most succinct and accurate descriptions of any player with a timely question for this season. You can add he is passionate about many things and high energy.

Luke is really smart and clearly a very high potential guy for his post basketball life; he is also great in the locker room.

But many if not most here rightly question whether he can contribute significantly to a top D-1 team.

Last year, i was among the "he's not going to help us" crowd. This year, i agree with KC that Worthington is the single most improved returning player. He's lost about 25 pounds, he has learned the system, he knows how to move on both ends of the court. Mostly his judgement is sound but he still needs to learn to limit his occasional rashness. What he did show last year is that he likes to fight in the low post, and that inclination is as strong as ever.

I still can't figure how much Luke will help the team on the court, but it is certain that his minutes will be more effective than last year. He is still an undersized low post guy at 6'8". Over the season as a whole, we can expect single digit minutes on average, but with Aytes not on the roster until December 20, and Austin and Corbin Kaufusi banged up, don't be surprised if LW logs some 20 minute games before Christmas break
