BYU Hoops preview
Here are some observations after watching scrimmage tonite and summer pickup games.

Toolson- Should get some time this year, as Dave Roses' has only one prerequisite for playing.... the 3 ball.
Halford- He's plucky like Riley Nelson, but has little athletic ability and mediocre skills. Shouldn't play after Dec. 1.
Worthington-Shouldn't see time unless everyone else on the team has fouled out.
Chatman, Moves well. Has been hurt and the jury is still out on him.
Nielson- Has potential moves a bit awkwardly.
Collinsworth-Team MVP without him we're dead.
Aytes-Looked good this summer. Should get plenty of playing time. Perhaps best offensive post player.
Kaufusi-Should start by mid-season
Austin-Consistently average except in rebounding. Should play behind Kaufusi, Nielson and Aytes.
Nixon-Probably more of a mid-major prospect. Should get some playing time during his Junior or Senior Year
Andrus-Tall but probably should redshirt. He is more of a mid-major guy than high D1
Winder-Should play quite a bit... Mid major guy but pretty consistent.
Bartley-Struggles with shooting and ball handling. Good athlete but lacks skill, more of a mid-major prospect
Davis-Lacks dribbling and shooting skills. fairly solid on the block. Should be solid next year.
Haws-Great 2 point shooter. Moves awkwardly at times. slow and unathletic and lacks D presence. He's a star because he is at BYU. Send him to AZ, Oregon or UCLA and he's a 1-2 year starter and a solid 12-14 ppg ave.
Sharp-Won't play much after Dec. 1.
Fischer- Best 3 point shooter on team. Lacks explosiveness and athletic ability.
