the stormy FB waters and Bronco's aloofness and purposely trying to insulate his coaching staff from public ridicule screams how out of touch the admins and coaching staff are with the fans.

BYU fans are passionate, but they (for the most part) are not stupid. If you want the fans on your side, you be honest with them...period.

If the defense is sucking it up, call it what it is and say so and admit it to the fans. It doesn't matter what the problem or situation is, if you are honest with the fans, BYU fans will support the program(s) through thick and thin.

The biggest part of the problem is that neither the BYU admins nor Bronco trust the fans...and all that does is breed distrust in Bronco and the admins.
