Yes, for the greater common good.
People are quarantined every day if it's suspected they may have been exposed to serious communicable diseases.

The same people who are siding with the nurse would be the first people to criticize the government officials if the nurse was not quarantined and it turned out that she was infected and had infected others. Ebola spreads because the patients are not isolated. Isolation eventually depletes the number of potential hosts and the outbreak abates naturally.
