just go hire a rockstar DC from somewhere?

Maybe this has been brought up before but it seems the available options to CB are:
1) Fire Bronco
2) Continue with the status quo

Isn't there a third option? It would require a significant financial commitment from the University, but you'd think that (given the Administration's infatutation with Independence) that Holmoe could get them to pony up a couple hundred thousand more $$ a year to bring in an absolute stud DC if he pitched it as the only way to make Independenec work.

Ideally this DC would be Sitake (for a lot of reasons, not least of which is his Polynesian background) but it could really be a lot of different candidates if we were willing to pay what it took to get a good one.

I guess I personally just don't feel like firing Bronco is the answer right now, but think that significant changes definitely need to happen. I feel that our recruiting is moving forward with Martzen and while Dr. Bob isn't going to be confused for Chip Kelly anytime soon, or Offense seems to be on the right track too. Why upset all that with a complete overhaul if the problem lies mostly with the defense?
