I've always figured that if required to pay athletes, BYU would get out of
athletic, or at least football, since it's not what BYU is about, and it'd be way too expensive.
As for the VP's comments, spare me the belief that a true fan is one that never criticizes the program/ team. A loyal fan can criticize and still be loyal.
