As most of you know I own a Bed and Breakfast in Manti that was completed in 1880.

This morning a couple of rooms came down for breakfast and both asked if there were any ghost etc... in the building. I asked them what had happened. Both gave the usual of hearing "footsteps" to me that is a really old building settling etc... But then they both said the heard a baby crying (pretty comon thing here that people hear)

I answer that while I have never personaly heard the baby crying I have hear that from multiple guests. It is the most common one. I have also had a mom call one morning after her daugher and husband spend the night on there honeymoon asking about ghosts. She said the both saw a man in there room dressed from the 1800's with red hair and a beard. Neither one of them was scared by him, or felt an evil presence. Just that he was there in the room standing. I had one worker that was here alone closing up and could hear people talking in another room. One of the old owners said she used to hear them call her by name, and had seen things move around etc.. For me the only thing that has ever happend was that we used to do a full resturant. One night about 15 minutes before closing I was taking out the trash cans to the street and saw a group standing at the front door. They asked if we were still open and I told them yes to go on in. They said the door was locked. I asked the 2 works and neither one of them had locked the door, and there were no guests staying that night.

The last one isn't a specific story but, I had some people come and stay that again asked in the morning about it. So I gave them the usual tales. They then said that they are "paranormal sensitve" and that yes we do have spirits but that nothing was bad, they were never uncomfortable of felt anying other then goodness. They then wanted a tour of the building so I took them around and finished off going into the basement (former root cellar) where the furnace etc.. is When we went down there they both stoped and asked what was down there. I told them what it was, they asked if there was anything I knew of that had happened as they both felt alot of fear and anquish down there. I told them that the stories are there was a hidden closet in the basement where the plural wives would go hide when the govt would come raid the polygamists. but that to my knowledge nothing bad had ever happened. They both then said that explains the feelings they got in the basement.
