BYU does not have the clout, but Stanford does and probably would
go to a Ivy League model rather than a pro model. Cal would probably follow Stanford and there would be a lot of pressure on UCLA to do the same. This would be a good thing in my opinion--not just for BYU, but for CFB. Big time CFB is an embarrassment right now.
